sonypictures_lavoroThe Senior Marketing Manager will develop the Marketing strategy for Content Distribution (Free To Air, Pay TV & Basic TV, SVOD, Free On Demand, Transactional, Physical) with a specific focus on digital distribution within the Italian region.  The role will seek to develop a streamlined, commercial and innovative marketing approach across previously separate lines of business to best deliver for SPEs consumers, customers, partners and internal stakeholders.

The key focus will be working alongside the commercial leads and country manager to develop and implement Marketing and Branding strategies which ensure all feature film and TV series product is being optimized both commercially and creatively across all distribution windows and formats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To drive the Marketing strategy across Home Entertainment and TV Distribution, maximizing opportunities across the region through innovative Marketing activity.
  • Key point of contact for VP Marketing Western Europe, providing clear and consistent territory information and communication that aligns with regional strategy
  • Oversee Marketing budget across digital transactional business and TV distribution and work alongside Italian Country Manager to support the Sony physical business managed through the Universal distribution relationship
  • Responsibility for defining and implementing the studios annual feature film and TV series Marketing and product release strategy for EST and TV Distribution incorporating all key marketing disciplines, working closely with digital account lead in territory
  • Support and liaise the dedicated Marketing team within the Universal distribution office around key priority titles and overall Marketing strategy
  • Act as a close business partner for all TV distribution clients in territory positioning Sony as the go to partner for close collaboration, leading with insight and nimble working
  • Determine and manage the efficient timely delivery and approval of promotional assets to and from broadcast and EST partners in territory
  • Align with theatrical distribution partner Warner in the region to facilitate information and assets to the relevant distribution teams as well as enabling strategic window partnerships
  • Develop and execute publicity and promotional campaigns across the product slate and ensure there is close collaboration with the SPT PR team to deliver seamless broadcast campaigns for SPTs key shows within the territory
  • Deliver any trade presentations, pre-sales events, customer events and internal showcases and events to ensure we are communicating a consistent and positive message both internally and externally
  • Help deliver on each territory’s One Sony activities working alongside Electronics, PlayStation and Music to maximize our combined reach as a consumer facing company
  • Maintain high levels of knowledge of technological developments to ensure all marketing activities are fully maximized.
  • Continually evaluate the need for Research, working closely with the regional Marketing and Research teams – understand how to use and interrogate data to enable the most effective pitches and partnerships with clients

Qualifications and/or Experience Required

  • Typically, 5+ years of experience in strategic Marketing preferably in the entertainment sector.
  • Experience within the Italian market place essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills required and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to influence, negotiate and persuade others
  • Business minded, commercially focused and able to understand business plans and control budgets
  • Proven track record in delivering creative, innovative and commercial marketing campaigns in a complex multi-faceted organization or environment.
  • Demonstrated success in devising and executing strategic marketing objectives and cascading these objectives and ways of working
  • Self-motivated team player and facilitator
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple projects in a dynamic/changing environment and seeing those projects through to completion
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Italian and English
  • Creative and innovative in approach
  • Availability to travel within Italy and abroad as necessary
