UPS – HR Communication Specialist – Milano

For the HR Italy Country office – located in Milano – we are currently looking for a HR Communication Specialist. UPS in Italy counts more than 1000 employees working in different centers, hubs and gateways. But what does this mean for you if you take on this job? This means that you will be busy with contributing to the creation of companywide HR communications for a wide variety of existing communication channels. To give you a broader perspective and to have more variety in the tasks you perform, you will also support the HR department on reporting and trainings.

What do you do on an average day?

  • You will research internal and external web sites to gather background data for communication pieces and internal databases for article preparation to get a better understanding of subject matter.
  • You will work with appropriate departments and managers to assist in the development and execution of internal communications that support the mission and vision of projects or initiatives.
  • You will ensure deliverables align with UPS style guidelines and culture to convey the appropriate tone and meaning to employees.
  • You will conceptualize ideas to provide composition mock-ups and initiate design processes for designing deliverables (e.g., posters, fliers, newsletters, etc.).
  • You will utilize knowledge of layout, color, typography, and craftsmanship to use in the design of deliverables.
  • You will utilize multi-media (e.g., audio, video, etc.) to create effective communications deliverables.
  • You will comply with established Creative Media standards to ensure accuracy and consistency of products.
  • You will coordinate with vendors and obtains quotes to ensure costs are within budget and quality products are provided.
  • You will assist in reporting My Talent Center activities and trainings, providing community service status updates and manage the process of Grants & Sponsorship submissions.
  • You uphold a strict level of confidentiality.

What should you be able to do?

  • Educational level: bachelor degree (Communication, HR, Social Science, Marketing)
  • We expect you to be excellent in English (both verbally and in writing).
  • Writing skills, you make a text come to life!
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • You should enjoy multitasking, as you will switch tasks a lot and also will receive ad-hoc requests. A good feeling for prioritizing is a must!
  • Knowledge of web technology and social media
  • It is mandatory that you have good skills in MS Office, Excel, Power Point
  • Quality drive; eye for details
  • Organization and efficiency
