This is a local position and as such only qualified candidates residing in Italy and holding a
valid residence/ working permit will be considered.

Under the overall supervision of the Director, Coordination Office for the Mediterranean and Chief of
Mission in Italy and Malta, and the direct supervision of the TandEM Project Manager in thematic
coordination with the Public Information Specialist, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting
the implementation of all communication and social media activities of the AMIF action “TandEM:
Towards Empowered Migrant Youth in Southern Europe”. The project has the objective of fostering the
engagement of young third‐country nationals and their Southern European peers in shaping inclusive
societies in Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Italy, Malta and Spain. In particular he/she will:

Provide assistance in the implementation of TandEM’s communication activities, to be developed in

coordination with project partners and IOM country offices in Italy, Croatia, Cyprus, Greece, Malta and
Spain as well as the regional communication office in RO Brussels.

Contribute to the design, set‐up and promotion of a regional social media campaign targeting youth in
program countries while guiding and coordinating national social media campaigns in Italy, Croatia,
Cyprus, Greece, Malta and Spain.

Support the coordination and management of the social media campaign and a few social media
contests, including by contributing to the collection and production of information communication
materials as necessary.

Design and develop specific editorial plans on the main social networks (Facebook, Twitter,
Instagram and YouTube), managing the relationship with users, updating and moderating the
project’s accounts (daily postings, comments/discussions on posts, answering questions and
actively participating in conversations with users).

Contribute to designing and developing activities and content on social networks, monitoring
communication activities and, after evaluating the results achieved, provide feedback on activities and
suggestions for changes.

Provide support in the exchanges and coordination with beneficiaries in the framework of the
organization of regional and national social media contests.

Coordinate all communication aspects of the project with the Public Information Specialist, to avoid any
overlap with other ongoing activities and respond to IOM communication guidelines and requirements.

Any other duties that might be assigned.
