The role of the Communications function is to establish and strengthen authentic connections with audiences everywhere. We focus on premium brand stories related to our products and our customers; we manage the corporate reputation and brand equity; and we engage, inspire and motivate our communities.
The PR Manager will help create and drive compelling narratives and announcements that communicate the benefits and value of Tesla’s products across all communication channels. This position will speak with and listen to our customers, enthusiasts and, of course, journalists in traditional and in radically different ways. You will work closely with other teams, especially marketing, sales, service, and charging. The role requires a solution oriented, flexible self-driver with the ability to change course quickly, the ability to think big and start small, and someone who thrives in high-stress situations.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute creative communications campaigns and narratives
- Drive awareness of our products through stories in relevant publications and through awareness campaigns
- Build and maintain relationships with key media
- Consistently and doggedly correct misinformation and inaccuracies
- Manage product launches and announcements
- Manage the press fleet and lead comprehensive walkthrough
- Develop written materials, including product messaging, communications plans and FAQs, blog posts, and other collateral
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- A minimum 5 years relevant work experience, either at a PR agency or on an in-house communications team.
- A self-starter who instinctively and consistently creates personal and professional stretch goals and meets them.
- Works well with others with the ability to build trust with the team and work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment
- Skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing and executing simultaneous projects and activities.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and adapt quickly to change.
- Excellent writing and editing skills. Fluency in English and Italian is required
- Curiosity and ability to think creatively, flexibility and a sense of humor.
