PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The Communication & Events Specialist is responsible for developing PR and media relations activities for the Iveco Defence Vehicles business.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and edit press releases for all media to support the image and position of Iveco Defence Vehicles as a global leader;
- Manage events, conventions and fairs, meeting strict deadlines and budget demands
- Lead & coordinate design, content and style of communication material (print, media and audio visual).
- Ensure our vision, values and mission gets conveyed in all defined distribution channels. Create awareness and secure that each employee, dealer and customer identifies him/herself with it.
- Develop communication to create competitive advantage.
- Nurture and build relationships with the media; ensure the messages are clear and in accordance with the guidelines.
- Develop the usage of new communication tools.
- Ensure that the communication of the Brand matches with the ones of the support functions (Parts & Service, Financial Services, etc.).
- Drive and support the image of the brand(s).
- Supervise the management of corporate websites, design new web applications, including Lead management and CRM.
- Lead the European Merchandising and Licensing Business and manage and supervise the internal and external PR in Europe.
- Assure a strong communication plan on the benefits of current products as well as the launch of new products by considering the right tools for the respective audience.
- Coordinate and Supervise Major European fairs and product launches.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Communications
- Familiar with media community
- Knowledge of European Legislation on Technical Regulations
- Good creative and IT Skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Photo editing and Document design programs
- Ability to work in matrix system as well as a strong team spirit
- Very responsive with a customer-oriented approach
- Multi-tasking and self-motivation are essential
- Results-oriented
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Very Fluent in English. Additional languages capabilities are a plus.
- Previous experience in a press office is a plus
